Come and join me for a day of gelli printing – an easy and versatile monoprinting technique where the process is exciting, the results are quick and no two prints are the same.
This workshop is for those who want to attend both the Botanics Half-Day (morning workshop) and the Transfers Half-Day (afternoon workshop) at a discounted price.
During the morning workshop you will be taught gelli plate basics and learn how to layer colour and texture using botanical material (pressed leaves) to produce interesting effects. The afternoon workshop we will reset for any newcomers and briefly go through the gelli plate basics again and then learn how to transfer images and textures from everyday items and magazines using a various gelli print techniques. You will come away with a variety of interesting prints to frame or use in your own work.
Morning Workshop: Botanics 10.00am – 12.30pm
LUNCH: 30mins (please bring your own lunch, as no food is provided*)
Afternoon Workshop: Transfers 1.00pm – 3.30pm
* There are Tea & Coffee making facilities at the Art Room.
The workshop is for all skill levels – from complete beginners to experienced artists who would like to try a new technique.
Please bring an apron (printing is a messy business!) all other materials and equipment is provided on the day.
